
Following two years of population decline under the Covid administration, Singapore’s overall population increased 3.4% to 5.64 million as of June.
According to the Department of Statistics, the number of Singaporean citizens increased 1.6% to 3.55 million, while the non-resident population, which includes workers and students, increased 6.6%.
As Singapore competes to become the leading financialtravel restrictions, a sluggish economy, and a tighter stance on hiring foreign labor bit.
The mid-year report also revealed that Singapore is continuing to age, with citizens’ median age rising to 42.1 years from 41.8 years.
